Above you can see my favourite nail polish so far: Dirty Berry by Catrice. No wonder I spoke of love at first sight when I wrote a review many many months ago, it's absolutely gorgeous! I wanted to add a little extra something though, so I picked out some small clear crystals. (Yeah, unfortunately they are no actual diamonds..we'll just have to use our imagination!). I have quite a lot of crystals -or rhinestones?- because I like to prettify cell phone cases, in case you are interested in that you can find a DIY here.

I used my top coat as some sort of glue to make sure that the crystals stay in place which worked surprisingly well. It's been over 24 hours now and I haven't lost a single crystal yet. It was an absolute pain to photograph this nail of the day though! The crystals sparkle gorgeously in real life, but on camera they look pretty dull.

I tried all sorts of things but unfortunately I failed to capture how pretty these crystals actually look. Luckily the blurry pictures do show a bit of that nice sparkle, at first I wanted to apply a glittery topcoat as well but I didn't really want some sort of sparkle-overload. I also discovered that I only have glitter topcoats with multicoloured glitter and I wanted to stick to crystal/white/silver. Anyways, I'm pretty happy with the way things turned out! The crystals are also very small, so they don't annoy me in any way.
