Personal update & Recent buys
Hey everyone! I'll start with a short update to explain why my blog has been so quiet lately. The truth is that my internship didn't go so well and got extended, which means I could kiss my graduation goodbye (which was supposed to be in July). It was pretty frustrating because I was really hoping that I'd graduate before I turn 21. I couldn't wait to look for a job and move out, maybe follow a course or two. But luckily I'll still be able to get my Bachelor's degree this year, just a little later than expected! Right now everything is going very well though. The thesis I worked on before I started my internship got nominated for an award (unfortunately I don't know the details yet). My instructors even suggested me to continue to study and follow the Master's programme in Health Sciences. They said I have the brains for it, but we'll see what happens! A Master's programme is not cheap and I'd have to move to all the way to Amsterdam. Decisions decisions...
Okay, time to show my recent buys! ;) I'm definitely not an expert when it comes to fashion, but I'm slowly starting to develop my own style. Lately I'm obsessed with flowery hair accessories, dresses and scarves. Oh, and bright colours! Maybe it's a bit of a summer thing? (Even though the weather here makes me think of Fall in stead). I should mention that some of the things below belong to my sister though! We pretty much always shop together and have a similar taste in clothes, so I decided to add her latest additions to this post as well.
Right now I'm enjoying a bit of a vacation (well, I got two weeks off but I'm not going abroad or anything). I do plan to update my blog a couple of times during the next 2 weeks though! I can finally wear bright nail polish again, so I'm pretty sure my next blog post will include my nails and a LOT of funky colours ;)

I definitely love blazers, I usually combine them with a girly dress or a nice pair of jeans. The one on the right is made of a very soft and flexible kind of fabric which makes it super comfortable to wear.
H&M skirts! My sister and I love these, they're very affordable and comfortable to wear. (Yup we love comfortable clothing).
Scarves :) I love to combine them with a denim top.
I'm very happy with my 2 new dresses! They both have an elastic waist which makes them VERY flattering.

And here are a couple of my new flowery hair clips, I wear these all the time now! My hair is very long and...a bit slippery I suppose? Whenever I try to do something fancy with my hair it just never stays put. I do like to braid it though, but it's just easier to grab a cute hair accessory (I'm pretty much always in a rush).

My sister bought a couple of new dresses as well. The black maxi dress was a pain to photograph but besides that it's another great flattering dress! My sister looks a lot taller wearing it and we both love those braided(?) details.
I broke my favourite (and the only good looking) pair of sunglasses so I needed wanted to buy a new pair. The gold ish sunglasses are actually meant to be for men but I couldn't leave them in the store because they kinda match my hair. They are a bit too big for me though (ha, really?) so I'll probably just give it to the boyfriend.
My mother and sister laughed at me when they saw me trying on these shorts but I'm in love with the flower print!
Now I'll only need a bit of sunshine and I'm good to go ;)
My sister bought a whole bunch of blazers (there was a ''buy two, get one for free'' kind of sale going on). I love the teal one!
And last but not least, my sisters yellow pants. A.k.a. her SpongeBob SquarePants...pants :P
As you can see, our cat Lara is protecting that pair of pants with her life ;)
