Essence silky touch blush in Adorable
Hi everyone! Today I’m going to show one of my new blushes: Adorable from Essence. It’s a very nice pink shade (very light and a tiny bit peachy) and only 2,49 euro! When I got home I noticed that it looks quite similar to my favourite blush so far: Pink Rose from The Bodyshop. Time for a review and a little comparison!
Here you can see the two blushes next to each other. Pink Rose came from a limited edition collection, so I was secretly hoping that Adorable would be the perfect dupe!
They are both light but still pigmented enough to give you a natural looking blush. Perfect for light skin tones and very easy to work with! However, Adorable is a bit on the peachy side and Pink Rose is a tiny bit shimmery as well. They are not dupes!
Here you can you see how Adorable looks on my cheeks, I like it! It’s a very natural looking blush, perfect for an everyday look. It’s long lasting, applies smoothly and if you have a light skin as well this will just look lovely on you. I was afraid that this blush wouldn’t be very pigmented, but it’s a very nice everyday blush!

Recent buys (Kruidvat haul)
Hey everyone! I went to Kruidvat (a Dutch drugstore) today with my younger sister. They sell all of the make-up at discount prices (50% off) right now, so I just had to take a look! I wanted to get myself some of the new Catrice nail polish, especially the lovely shade ‘Dirty Berry’. Below I’m going to show all of the things I got, I’ve added my sisters new purchases as well. Everything will be reviewed later, so I’m not going to share too many details yet! ;)
I don't own a lot of blushes (just two), so I decided to take a few new ones with me to try out! My skin is very light, so I picked a few shades that would definitely suit me (okay...they do look very similar).
Time for nail polish! There was just one bottle of 'Dirty Berry' left, so I was super happy! From left to right you can see Dirty Berry, Apropos apricot, Bye bye birdie and Purplelized. Purples and 'Happy shades' are really my thing.
Last but not least, a topcoat (you can never have enough of those) and a nice peachy lipgloss.
My sister is a huge fan of lipgloss, the new ones from Essence promise a nice staying power so I hope that they'll work! Normally they cost 1,99 Euro, still very cheap!
She got the new 'One by one' mascara and the Superstay 24h Lipstick as well, both from Maybelline. I heard some good things about those products, so I can't wait to hear what my sister thinks of them!
I paid 11,55 Euro for everything and my sister had to pay 16,20 Euro. Not bad eh? If my mother didn't give me the 'Gosh, don't you have enough already?' look when she saw me walk out of the store I'd have turned around to get some more!Enjoy your weekend! And a special welcome for wennnn, blog follower number 400!

DIY: 'Eyeshadow frame'
Hi guys! Even though I love my self-made magnetic palette (you can find that DIY post here, I turned an old book into an useful palette!), it didn’t really work for me. Inside the palette it's just a mix of random brands and shades so I can’t really remember all of the eyeshadows. They get covered up as well so I can’t see them either. When I’m looking for a certain colour, I usually just grab one of my ‘real’ palettes in stead. I don’t want to waste my make-up though, so it was time to think of something else!
When I was cleaning my room I found an old picture frame and a magnetic sheet, so I decided to use those things to create some sort of ‘eyeshadow frame’. It’s super easy to do, all you need is a magnetic sheet that fits into a picture frame! I grabbed some of my magnetized eyeshadows to give it a try, and a couple of cute magnets to add some cuteness!
Hmm, not bad! I don’t have a lot of magnetized eyeshadows at the moment, so I added a few cute looking business cards to make it less empty looking (you can see the difference below). You could also add a picture or a sweet message/card, it’s up to you!
I’m happy with it! In my case, something like this works better than a palette because I can see all of the shades now. And I think that it looks pretty nice as well! I put it on my make-up table and it gives it a nice personal touch. It’s probably the perfect spot for my ‘to do lists’, then I can see everything I need to do that day when I’m prettifying my face in the morning ;) Where do you keep your single/depotted eyeshadow?
