Sleek: The Bad girl palette
Hey guys! Today I'm going to review the Bad Girl palette from Sleek, which is part of their permanent line. You can find this little beauty at their website or Superdrug for around 6-7 pounds. I'm a huge fan of the Sleek palettes (this is already number four), you can find a review of the Sparkle palette here and a review of the Original palette here. But let's talk about my newest addition!
Inside this palette you'll find a mixture of frosty, satin and matte finishes. There are plenty of colours inside (green, purple, blue, grey and black) and a couple of nice highlighters. Yup, you get all you need to create a sexy smokey look! Pigmentation is good, as expected from Sleek, but a couple of shades are a bit crumbly (so you have to be careful of fallout).
Here we have some of the eyeshadows and their names: Innocence, Gullible, Blade, Intoxicated, Envy and Obnoxious. Intoxicated is my favourite shade, followed by Blade.
And here are Gun metal, Underground, Noir, Abyss, Twilight and Rebel. Twilight is absolutely gorgeous and Noir is a nice matte black, you could also use that one as eyeliner.
Some swatches of the first row! I didn't use a base this time (because I already knew a Sleek palette wouldn't really need it) so all of the swatches are dry. From left to right: Innocence, Gullible, Blade, Gun metal, Underground and Noir. All of them are well pigmented!
And here we have (from left to right) Intoxicated, Envy, Obnoxious, Abyss, Twilight and Rebel. Rebel disappointed me a bit and Abyss leaves a bit of a stain, but overall I really like this palette. I like the price of the palette, the shades, the packaging and the pigmentation is great!

NOTD: Criss Cross Crackle
Hi all! It feels like I haven't done a nail related post for ages, so here it is! I'm sure everyone is familiar with the crackle nail polishes by now, some ladies absolutely hate the 'shattered' effect but I quite like it. I love to layer it over a glitter, or just apply it over a hot pink or gold. A couple of days ago, I came across a post by xsparkage and she said that she loves to apply crackle nail polish in a random direction. And yes, it does make a difference! In this video she tells more about crackle nail polish and she's showing us how you can apply the nail polish in a fun and random way.
I wanted to try it myself, so I grabbed a white nail polish and my bottle of instant nail effect by Barry M. I really like how it turned out, people always ask me questions like 'how did you do that?' or tell me that it looks like an animal print.
Here you can see the difference, if you apply the crackle nail polish like you'd apply any other polish, you get a pretty 'straight' shattered effect (green). If you use the criss cross way, you get a pretty random design (pink). So, thank you Leesha! I really like applying crackle nail polish this way, it gives my nails a total different look!

Swatching all of the MUA eyeshadows (part 4)
Hey everyone! This is going to be the last post with MUA eyeshadow swatches, after this one I've reviewed them all. You can find the previous parts here, here and here. I didn't include shade 18, 13 and 9 (some pretty purples) because I already showed them before, but if you're looking for those swatches you can find them in this post.
As you might have guessed, today we're going to take a look at some green shades! Here we have Shade 5, 6, 7, 8 and 14. All of them have a Pearl finish and look very pretty.
Let's start with shade 6, a bit of a light emerald green. It's not the most pigmented one but it's still a very nice colour.
Next is shade number 5, a very bright looking lime green. Thankfully, it doesn't look that bright on the skin. It's a nice Spring colour.
Here we have shade 8, this one is a personal favourite! It's a very bright teal, a great colour for the summer.
Shade 7 is a very nice forest green, I feel like this shade suits my skin tone the most. It looks really nice with a brown shade as well.
Shade 14 is the darkest, it's kind of a greeny black and I don't have anything like it. It's very pigmented as well, love it!
From left to right we have shade 6, 5, 8, 7 and 14. (First row is with Milk by Nyx as a base, second row are all dry swatches). They are all very nicely pigmented, even without a base. Shade 6 and 8 are a tiny bit less pigmented, but shade 8 really pops when you use a white base underneath it! I think that all of the shades are lovely, and if you like greens you should definitely give them a try. I really do like them, for 1 pound each they are an awesome bargain! And that puts an end to it, but don't worry! I still have a couple of nail polishes, lip glosses and eye liners by MUA to review.
Giveaway Reminder!
Hey everyone! This is just a quick reminder, but if you haven't entered my giveaway yet, you have 1 day left. It will close at midnight. That's it for now, I hope everyone will have a nice weekend!

Victoria Jackson Survival kit
Hi everyone! I promise, this review won't be as dramatic as the other one, back then I showed the personalised compact by Victoria Jackson but that was definitely not a must-have item. Today I'm going to take a look at the Survival kit, a little nifty thing filled with beauty!
Inside you'll find 10 eyeshadows, 5 lipglosses, 2 blushes, 1 mascara, 1 lip pencil, 1 eye pencil and a couple of applicators. And...they have names! Simple ones like the 'Pink blush' and 'Army green eyeshadow' but still, they took the time to name the shades = bonus points.
This is how the case looks, it's almost as big as your hand and pretty travelsafe. This April I'll be going to Portugal, and this is the perfect 'friend' to put in my bag ;)
Let's start with the lip colours, from left to right we have Coral, Rose, Natural, Red and Light pink. They are very creamy and easy to apply.
Light pink isn't greatly pigmented, but overall they are very nice. At the end of this post I'll show a look with the colour Rose, it looks a lot more brown in real life.
And here are the matte eyeshadows, from left to right we have Blue, Brown, Pink, Coral and Ivory. Not really my kind of colours, except the first two.
The matte shades aren't as good as the shimmery ones, but they are still alright. Not great quality, but they're a lot better than I expected. All of the swatches are on top of a base, especially the lighter colours need the extra help.
Personally, I like these eyeshadow shades a lot more! From left to right we have Burgundy, Army Green, Bronze, Mauve and Base.
They are all nice, wearable shades. The pigmentation is okay, I've swatched them on top of a base (Milk by Nyx, as usual). They are easy to match, although Burgundy wasn't very smooth to apply.
You get a black eye pencil and a brown lip pencil. They are small but still easy to use. I'd have liked a nude ish lip pencil in stead though, this one looks a bit 'harsh' on my lips.
They are pretty creamy and the pigmentation is alright, but not as good as some of the other pencils I own. (Although the black eyeliner didn't start to run after I put it on, which is something I really liked).
And there we have the sharpener, it's nice that it's part of the kit because I would be the kind of girl that would forget her sharpener when she goes on a trip.
The applicators inside are awful, they are too small and flimsy. I've tried using them but unless your brushes are on fire, I wouldn't use these.
The blushes are really gorgeous, the names are Apricot and Pink and they look very nice on my skin tone. The pans are not very big, but still big enough for a decent blush brush.
I really like the blush shades, they are nicely pigmented, the shades are wearable and they're very soft. A little bit goes a long way.
The mascara was surprisingly nice. It didn't curl my lashes much, but it did seperate them and because of the small wand it was easy to apply the mascara. Not some holy grail, but I'd use it again.
And here's a look with all of the products (using some of the brown eyeshadows, the lip liner, the Rose lip colour, the black eye pencil, the mascara and the Apricot blush). What I liked most, is that the eye pencil didn't start to run and that the eyeshadow didn't start to crease.Would I take this with me when I go to Portugal? Hmm, I think that I'd take it with me because of the nice blush shades and the mascara, the rest is 'alright' but not irreplaceable. It can always be useful when you need a touch up though!

A make-up look & A package
Hello! I'm just going to show a make-up look today, I felt a bit bored this afternoon so I decided to dig into my drawers and experiment with some 'oh I rarely use that!' shades. I'm quite happy with the look, but my new neighbour ran away as soon as she saw me. I had to take our dogs for a walk and forgot to take the make-up off...oops. Now she has a pretty weird 'first impression' of me :P
And here are some more full faces! You can click the picture for a larger view, it's a very random look (I was just experimenting a bit) so I couldn't really think of a name. Although it does make me think of a Geisha ;)
Same look, but this time I paired it with nude lips. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with nude lips, sometimes it can look really flattering but it can also make you look like a zombie. In case you're wondering about the lipstick colours, above I'm wearing Power by Nyx and the red one from before is called Alarm by Rimmel London.
I also received a package from Suzy this morning, I won her mini-giveaway and she sent me lots of sheet masks and some samples! I can't wait to give those sheet masks a try, I'm used to the messy gel/cream ones but they can be a pain to remove.Have you tried a sheet mask before?

Swatching all of the MUA eyeshadows (part 3)
Hey everyone! It's time for some more MUA eyeshadow swatches, I know that I've been reviewing this brand a lot lately but that's because I got a lot of their products at once and I really like all of it so far! Today I'm going to show some brown shades, in case you missed the previous eyeshadow posts you can find them here and here.
I'm going to show shade 1, 17, 11 and 19. Shade 17 and 19 are matte colours, the other two have a pearl finish.
This is shade 1. Not really a typical brown shade, although I would call it a beige (a.k.a. a light yellowish brown). It's a nice highlight colour and it's nicely pigmented as well.
Here we have shade 17, a bit of a caramel brown. The matte shades are a bit of a 'hit or miss' product, and unfortunately this one is a 'miss' in my opinion.
Shade 11, one of my favourites! It's a gorgeous taupe ish colour with a very nice finish, I like to apply it all over my eyelid.
Last but not least, shade 19. This is a very nice dark, chocolate brown and one of the better matte shades.
As usual, the first row = swatches on top of a base (milk by Nyx) and second row = dry swatches. From left to right we have shade 1, 17, 11 and 19. Shade 17 is pretty disappointing, even when you use a base. I wouldn't really recommend that one, but the other colours are lovely. Shade 1 and 11 look great, even without a base, and shade 19 looks a bit 'meh' when it's dry but on top of a base it's fantastic!Part 4 will be the last part, then I'll be taking a look at some stunning green shades!

Victoria Jackson personalized compact
Hey everyone! Let's start this post with some good news: I finally got my driving licence! I was getting a bit frustrated because after a year or so the lessons started to feel like a waste of money, I'd rather spend that money on other things but yeah, I'm finally done! :)But today I'm going to talk about the personalized compact by Victoria Jackson, a palette filled with eyeshadow, lipgloss and blush. You can also find a mirror and some make-up applicators/brushes inside.
The colours of this palette are pretty neutral, you get 5 eyeshadow colours, 5 lip colours and 4 different colours of blush.
It's a bit of a 'mix and match' palette, you can take all of the eyeshadow colours etc. out of the palette and you can also split the palette into two smaller ones.
Here you can see the empty palette and how it looks when you remove the 'mini palette' in the center.
In stead of taking the whole palette with you, you can select your favourite shades and put them in the smaller palette. That's great if you need to do some touch-ups later.
Here are the eyeshadows, they didn't give them any names but the colours look very nice.
I've swatched all of the colours on top of a base (milk by Nyx) and I have to say that I wasn't very impressed with them. They are chalky and not very pigmented.
Here we have the blushes (again, no names) and they are VERY tiny, 50% smaller than the eyeshadows. I do like the colours, they go from a soft pink to a pretty bright berry shade.
The pigmentation of the blush isn't great, but they are still better than the eyeshadows (even though two of the shades look very similar) .
But I just don't see myself using them, they are just too small. I had to use my finger to make the swatches (which is okay), but I could never apply those colours with a blush brush.
And here are the lipglosses, the shades look pretty nice (especially the pink ones). They are just as big as the eyeshadow pans.
But...the pigmentation is just awful. You can barely tell them apart and they look even worse on the lips.
The make-up applicators/brushes inside are pretty worthless, I've tried using them but I prefer my own brushes and felt tempted to throw these away. They just feel cheap and scratchy.I would never recommend this palette, I couldn't find the price online but I'm sure that it's way too expensive. And they claim that their products are MAC quality? It reminds me of very cheap 'kids make-up' but I wouldn't even give this to a young girl to play with. This set is disappointing and probably the worst beauty product I own.
