My DIY cell phone case project
For the past couple of weeks I've been looking around for a new cell phone (I'm thinking about getting the Blackberry Bold 9780 in black) and planned to get myself a cute cell phone case in Hello Kitty style (of course!) to prettify it a bit. I decided to pay Ebay a.k.a. budget heaven a visit but all the Hello Kitty phone cases I liked cost around $60...yes, it was time for a DIY project! So I bought a simple hard cover phone case and a whole bunch of rhinestones and other decoration thingies (which I plan to use for my nail art experiments as well). So in stead of paying $60 for an overpriced cell phone case, I paid around $20 for a whole bunch of pretty things! I think that I ordered enough to make myself a decent cell phone case! ;) I was trying to find more random things (like cupcakes, ribbons/roses in different sizes, stars etc.) to decorate the cell phone case with but I just couldn't find those. I'm trying to create a pretty sparkly and girly cell phone case, in the video below you can see what I mean:
I'm sure that some girls would hate it, but I absolutely love it! I can't wait until I can decorate some cell phone cases myself. It's nothing permanent and I find the cases they sell online just way too expensive. However, I still need a couple more things (like a good glue) and won't get a new cell phone until the end of the month, so I'll have to be patient!
Oh, and if you know a good Ebay seller (or some other website/shop) where I can get more decorative things for a cell phone case, please let me know! Anything girly and/or pink is fine ;)
