Hema Glitter Dust

I've had these little jars for a while now, I got them during a sale for 1 euro each but after that I just took some pictures, swatched them and put them away (a.k.a. forgot about them). Shame on me, because they really are gorgeous! Hema is one of the leading department store chains in the Netherlands and they have a lot of budget-friendly products (some good, some bad). I got myself two Glitter Dust jars, 03 Brown and 06 Purple.

I really like the packaging of these! Yes, they look very simple, but these little jars come with a sealed sifter so you can open them safely without some messy glitter explosion. You can either put a little bit of the glitter dust in the plastic cap, or take the sifter off and dip your brush into the jar. Whatever works for you!

Here you can see the jar without the sifter cap, the glitter dust looks quite crumbly but it feels soft on the skin. Don't let the word glitter scare you either, they are more like a shimmery pigment.

They aren't very impressive when you use them dry, but with a base or with the help of some water they look lovely! The purple is a very nice Lavender shade and the other one is a nice Chocolate brown. I'm a sucker for such shades, they are just so easy to use in a simple everyday look! I definitely want to use them more often :)

What do you think of pigments? Do you use them wet, dry or with a base/primer?
