Hi guys! As a lipstick junkie I'm always looking around for new brands to try, and today I'm going to talk about some lipsticks from Avon. (I won't repeat the name again because that's such a mouth full!). You can find these at their website for $8 (the ladies from the UK can find them here) and they're advertised as hydrating lipsticks with SPF15...sounds good eh? Let's take a closer look!

I have two of their colours, Soft pink and Plum gorgeous. Soft pink is a very nice subtle shade of pink but Plum gorgeous looks a bit more 'Berry bold' to me. I was actually hoping for an unique shade of purple. I'm not really a fan of their packaging either but you do get a decent amount of product (4 gram).

They are very creamy and moisturising, kinda like a mix between a normal lipstick and a lipbalm. These lipsticks have 'ribbons of rich moisturizers' in them which sounds cool but it makes it a bit hard to get an even colour. You'll need to layer the product a bit but I don't mind, they feel really nice on the lips!

One thing I didn't like: you really need to scrub your lips before you apply these, because they will make every little flaw stand out. But I do like how these lipsticks give the lips a nice shine, they aren't matte but not too shimmery either.

Soft pink (left) looks awesome with a sweet pink blush, I'm sure that this one will become my personal Spring favourite! Plum Gorgeous (right) is darker but still a very wearable shade. They are both long-lasting, give the lips an hydrated feeling and look semi-natural.

I'm very happy with these! If you're looking for an affordable and moisturising lipstick I'd give them a try. They have 10 other shades, from subtle nudes to fierce reds!
