How to: Remove stickers and glue stains from your make-up
I like to buy make-up during sales but unfortunately, the stores always seem to love to put big and hard-to-remove stickers on everything. Sometimes they also put clear tape around the product to protect it, which is also a huge pain to remove.
Yup, that's what I'm talking about. A couple of months ago I bought 3 Rimmel lipsticks (post with swatches over here) and they all had the stickers and the clear tape...lucky me. At first I only removed the clear tape so I could open and use them but today I decided it was time to prettify them. Want to know how to get rid of stickers and glue stains? Then keep reading!
I already showed this trick during a DIY project, all you need is a deodorant spray. Spray a little bit on the sticker, and it will come off easily.
The same thing goes for glue stains, spray some deodorant on the spot and wipe it clean.
And that's how I got them nice and shiny again. I left the white sticker with some product information on because it didn't bother me so much, but you could remove that one too if you want to. It's fast and easy!

Sleek nail polish: Poison Ivy
I got this pretty one months ago in a blogsale and I can't believe that I waited so long with trying it out, it's gorgeous! Poison Ivy has a beautiful dark green shimmer and in the right kind of lighting it looks almost black.
It's very pigmented and easy to work with. Like it promises on the bottle, it dries fast which is a huge plus in my case. If you're not a very patient girl like me, this one could work out perfectly for you.
It's definitely worth the price (which is £2.99 I believe). The ladies in the UK are certainly lucky! Application wise this is one of my favourites and I love how it goes from black to a beautiful green shimmer. If you like greens/dark colours, don't hesitate to throw this in your (virtual) basket ;)

Gifts and Swatches
Hello everyone! I got a few very cute gifts this week (especially the ones for my little Hello Kitty collection) so I decided to share them. Well, I was actually asked to do so, because when my mum handed me everything she looked at me and said 'You are going to blog about this right?' Yes mum...I'd looove to put my new socks on the internet ;)
Luckily they are adorable, so I don't mind! Socks and hair bands are always nice to have.
Yup, the hair bands are also in Hello Kitty style :) I bet every 3 year old girl is going to be jealous of my hair right now.
When my dad heard that I skip lunches sometimes he got me this adorable lunch box. This one is really girly but big enough for me to carry some food around.
I also needed new cotton rounds and a sharperner. My NYX jumbo pencil in milk needs to be sharpened soon, so I needed a big one. This one is a duo, so even better ;)
Here we have the make-up, 2 single eyeshadows and a lipgloss.
The eyeshadows are lovely, very soft and slightly creamy. They are not completely matte (you can see a couple of sparkles in there) and unfortunately, they aren't extremely pigmented either. However, with a nice base they look great. Oh, they are named 'Pink' and 'Black', nothing too original ;)
The lipgloss in 'light pink' also has that little bit of sparkle. I didn't own a colour like that, so I couldn't wait to try it out.
Like I said, the eyeshadows are not very impressive by themselves but look great with the right base. The pink eyeshadow would be nice to use as a blush as well. The lipgloss is pretty pigmented which I didn't really expect because it's such a light shade. Below you can see another swatch on the lips:
I really love the lipgloss, the shade is very nice and you don't get too much sparkle or some extreme glossy finish. On the packaging it says you can keep it for 18 months which is certainly not bad for a lipgloss. The smell reminds me of candy but it's not too powerful. It survived a glass of water, but after a meal you'll need to reapply.
Here we have the two eyeshadows again, I applied the pink on the inner 2/3 of my eyelid and the black on the outer third. I didn't use a base or primer, so this is how they look when you apply them dry. That's all for now, I hope that everyone had a great weekend! In my country 'So you think you can dance' just started, so I'm going to continue to watch that ;)

Review: Dry Shampoo, does it work?
I don't use dry shampoo myself (my hair doesn't get oily that quickly) but my sister is an absolute hair freak and couldn't wait to try this out. We read many reviews online, so when I saw a bottle at Kruidvat for 1,99 euro I couldn't leave it behind. So how does it work? Normal shampoo removes the natural oil and dirt etc. from your hair, but dry shampoo absorbs the oil + dirt and then you can brush it out. Some girls love it, some girls hate the idea. Personally, I wouldn't use this to replace your weekly shower moments (it doesn't work that well), but it is very useful when you're in a rush and your hair is looking a bit...ugh. No time for a shower? Then this is an alternative.
My sister would kill me if I showed too much of her oily hair online, but here you can still see the results. The dry shampoo we got smells really nice, works fast (it needs 1-2 minutes) and afterwards the hair looks better and feels soft again in stead of oily. We wanted to test the hair at its worst, so I was pretty surprised that it still made a difference. From that day on, my sister uses it if her bangs get a bit oily and when she comes back from school it still looks fine. That was also a plus, because you don't want to buy something that only works for a couple of minutes.Would I recommend it? If your hair gets oily pretty quickly and you don't mind the idea of a 'powder spray' then sure, why not? It works fine and I personally would rather spray a bit of this in my hair than leave the house with slightly oily hair and feel looked at all the time. I want people to look at my shoes or handbag, not be distracted by oily hair ;)

Tag: My 4 hot men
It took me forever, but I finally made up my mind! ;) This tag is all about showing the 4 (famous) men you find attractive. I'm really not the type to throw myself at the feet of some mr. Superstar, but the 4 guys below would definitely get a second look from me~
My absolute number one: Jared Leto. A guy needs good hair, some nice bedroom eyes and give you a little bit of a rock and roll feeling. Mr. Leto has/does all of that, which makes him my favourite male celeb. I love his voice and music as well! (Too bad he's 38...)
Paul Wesley, what can I say? I love watching The Vampire Diaries :P It's a great show in my opinion and Paul is (just like his 'brother') definitely not bad to look at. In my case, good guys never finish last.
He got me when I saw the cute little dog ;) Jared Followill (yup, another Jared) is a bass guitarist and pianist. Music + guys = hot. It surprised me that he's only 23, that makes him the youngest of my little list!
It took me a while to come up with guy nr. 4, but eventually I picked Neal Bledsoe. I haven't seen a lot of him but I think his blue eyes are stunning and again, he has nice hair. It's that simple ;)And that's the end of my 4 hot men tag. If you're going to do this tag as well (or perhaps you've already done so) don't forget to leave me a link below ;) I'd love to see everyone's taste in guys!

Purple brush set: the review
A couple of weeks ago I showed a new brush set, today I'm going to give my opinion about the brushes! If you haven't seen my other post, you can always go here to read it (it will show the brush roll that comes with the brushes, where I got them, my first thoughts and more). I've been testing them for 3-4 weeks now to find out if these are worth the money. But before I tell you that, I'm going to talk about each brush to explain what I like and dislike.
This set has two pretty big eyeshadow brushes, I personally don't like to use them for applying eyeshadow. I use the biggest one (on the left) if I want to apply foundation on certain areas of my face (my chin or nose for example). I use the other one to apply eyecream for under my eyes. I have long fingernails and I don't like using my fingers to get product out of a jar, so a brush like this is a huge help.
These are the other eyeshadow brushes, they do an okay job but to be honest I'm not a huge fan of them. They are very 'flat', the hairs are smooth but they don't pick up a lot of product. Below you can see one compared to my elf eyeshadow brush:
My elf brush is wider and has more hair, I like fluffy brushes like that. I do use the purple ones but it takes longer to apply the eyeshadow, so I see them as extra brushes, nice to have, but not my absolute must haves.
The little eyeshadow brush however, is one of my favourites! I use it to set eyeliner, to smudge lines and to apply eyeshadow under the lower lash line. It's soft and nice to work with :)
Here we have the lip brush. I didn't really use one before, but I do like this one. It doesn't pick up crazy amounts of lipstick so you can work very precisely with it. At first (when I applied lipstick straight from the tube) I always blotted my lips afterwards = huge waste of lipstick. With this brush, you can apply the right amount without wasting any.
Hmm, what to say about this thing? The brow comb is okay, but I actually like to use the mascara brush below for 'combing' my eyebrows. The lash comb side is also fine (although when you totally messed up your lashes even that won't help much).
This is the mascara brush, like I said above I like to use this one for the eyebrows. It does a really nice job styling them and the hairs feel nice as well. The brow comb feels a bit rougher.
I never expected this, but I love the foam tip! This one does an AMAZING job at helping with an inner corner highlight. I also love to use it to smudge lines (even more than the little eyeliner brush) and I also used it for concealer or packing colour onto the eyelids. It's made of firm material, I feared that it would just be worthless after using it a couple of times but it's easy to clean and I'm sure it will last me a while.
Here we have the eyeliner brushes, I use the first one for gel eyeliner and the second for liquid eyeliner. I like both, below I'll show a couple more pictures to explain why:
The gel eyeliner brush is nice and small, it's really easy to work with. I also like that it's slanted.
I like the liquid eyeliner brush because the hairs stay in shape after cleaning the brush. You can see what happened when I tried to wash one of my other eye liner brushes...the hairs lost their shape completely. That didn't happen with the purple brush = thumbs up.
I feel a bit so-so about the fan brush. It feels really nice and soft on the skin, but it just doesn't have a purpose for me. I tried applying blush with it but I didn't like the (lack of an) effect, I also used it to clean fall out but it didn't work as good as I hoped it would.
The big powder brush is really fluffy! I love how it feels when I use this to apply some powder to set my make-up. At first I was a bit disappointed with it because it doesn't help with getting a good coverage, it works too lightly for that, but when I feel those soft hairs on my face I just can't hate the brush.
The medium powder brush and angled powder brush are really nice, just like the big one they are super soft and work very lightly. I use them to apply blush, they give a very natural look which I love. I needed to get used to them at first because I was used to my old brushes and they always picked up a lot of product so I needed to be careful with them. These work the other way around, you'll need a few swipes to see something on your cheeks. I like that, because there's no way you can 'overdo' something.Pfew, that was all! Now it's time for the final judgement, let's take a look at the good and bad points of this brush set:
Good bits:
-Cheap price
-Brush roll included
-The brushes are incredibly soft
-So far, they didn't lose a single hair, not even when I washed them. They didn't lose colour either. (I'm sure they will shed eventually, but it's not like they will fall apart the first time you wash them). Oh, and they don't smell bad either ;)
-Includes a couple of very useful brushes, some are better than others but I still use all 16 of them.
Bad bits:
-I don't like the eyeshadow brushes that much. I found another purpose for the two biggest ones, but the remaining three are not good enough to completely replace my old favourites.
-The fan brush didn't impress me.
Overall, I'm really satisfied with the brushes. I love how they look, I like their softness and some of them (like the foam tip, little eyeshadow brush, medium powder brushes and eye liner brushes) are SO nice to work with. For those 14 dollars you get a very nice set of brushes. I can't compare them to MAC or Sigma because I don't own any of their brushes, but these work for me and that's what I care about. If I'd have to throw them out someday, I'd buy myself a new set right away.

My life (according to Google)
I came across this fun game on meowcake, if you want to read her version you can find it over here :) This game is all about using Google and its search bar, you type in certain things and choose the first description...I wonder how that will go!
1: Type in "(name) needs" in the Google search:
Agnes needs numbersss!
I actually hate making phonecalls, I have a semi serious case of telephobia.
2: Type in "(name) looks like" in the Google search:
Agnes looks like Leona Lewis.
Ha, not really. (She totally looks like moi)
3: Type in "(name) hates" in Google search:
Agnes hates her name.
Hmm, well I don't hate my name, I do hate how some people pronounce it though :P
4: Type in "(name) goes" OR "(name) has gone" in Google search:
Agnes has gone home to the Lord.
No I didn't!
5: Type in "(name) loves" in Google search:
Agnes loves Eddy!
I always call Edward (twilight) Eddy, and I certainly don't love him :P
6: Type in "(name) eats" in Google search:
Agnes eats and prays and eats and prays.
Really, I do more than that guys.
7: Type in "(name) has" in Google search:
Agnes has no fear!
I think the first question covers this >.> Although maybe it's not really fear, more like...hate.
8: Type in "(name) works" in Google search::
Timothy Taylor Gallery presents an exhibition of works by Agnes Martin.
I still need to get my paycheck.
9: Type in "(name) lives" in Google search:
Through time it became known as the Agnes Vanderburg Camp and the spirit of Agnes lives there.
I'm not a spirit! And I wouldn't go 'live' at a camp, I'd go for the mall.
10: Type in "(name) died" in Google search:
Shot schoolgirl Agnes dies in hospital as police launch hunt for teenage murderer.
That's it! I'm quitting college!
11: Type in "(name) does" in Google search:
Agnes does her thing.
That sounds kinda wrong. Like I'm doing something bad and then try to make it sound right because 'I'm just doing my thing.'
12: Type in "(name) will" in Google search:
On Thursday Agnes will be a guest on “VIVA live“.
Uh...no, unless they're going to pay me a LOT of money.
13: Type in "(name) is" in Google search:
Agnes is too CUTE!
Awh, that's sweet! That was better than the second one about Agnes the dog learning new tricks.
When I typed my name into the Google images bar I got the picture below...
Well, it could have been a lot worse :P (I was hoping for a fugly girl so I'd feel like the pretty Agnes though...oh well). This is a pretty fun little game to do when you're a bit bored. It certainly made me laugh a couple of times!

EOTD: Date make-up
Okay, so I didn't really go on a real date tonight (just to the movies with a friend) but I thought it would be fun to do my eyes in a 'first date' kind of style. When I think of first dates and make-up, I think of the colour pink, softness and defined eyes. During the process my mascara was absolutely driving me crazy but I'm pretty satisfied with the rest.
I just used a soft shade of pink, a tiny bit of black gel liner (I applied a black eyeshadow over it to set the line & make it look softer) and another eyeshadow (a shade lighter than my skin) to blend everything. Tiny bit of brown in the crease, some eyeliner and mascara and I was done!
We watched 'Going the Distance' together, I liked it although I'm not a fan of the pretty obvious sexual humour in movies. Thankfully, it had some other fun bits in it as well. I actually wanted to see Inception at first but my friend thought it would be too scary (pft!). Romantic comedy is always the safe option we go for, well, as long as I get my popcorn I'm fine ;)Speaking about popcorn, sweet or salted? I'm going for sweet!

How to: Strawberry Nails
Hello everyone! Today I wanted to do something cute with my nails (I love it when looking at them makes me smile) so I decided to go for strawberry nails! Perhaps you've seen them around somewhere, it's a cute & simple design which makes it great for starters.
Besides a basecoat and a topcoat, you'll need a yellow, green and a red nail polish. You could go for other colours of couse, like pink in stead of red or white in stead of yellow. From left to right you can see Models Own 'Lemon Meringue', Catrice 'I sea you!' and Catrice 'Deep Red'.
I also used one of my new nail art brushes, but if you don't have such a brush you could also work with an (old?) eyeliner brush. I personally don't like using face brushes for nail art or vice versa (unless I'm sure that I won't use the brush for my face anymore). If you can't find a brush, a toothpick could also work. It's not in the picture, but I used a dotting tool as well.
1: We start off with the base colour, in this case I picked a fast drying red nail polish.2: Now it's time to make some sort of half-moon shape at the bottom, for this part you'll need the brush and the green.
3: Then we're adding two green stripes in the middle.
4: Last but not least, it's time for the little dots. I like to make big and small ones and mix everything up, it depends on the size of your nail and preference.
Pretty cute eh? I love easy and colourful designs like that. Thanks to the fast drying red nail polish, it hardly took any time to dry. Now when the ice cold rainy weather reminds me that summer is pretty much over, at least I have adorable nails to look at ;)
