Hi everyone! Today's post isn't really beauty related but it might be helpful because Christmas is getting closer ;) Anyways, my order from abcwinkeltje arrived yesterday, this is a Dutch webshop selling beautiful soap, soy wax and more. I bought myself an oil warmer a couple of days ago because I really wanted to experiment with scented oils and soy wax this winter. I love nice smells and you can get the burner, oil and some soy wax for just a couple of euros, so it's not expensive at all! Here's a little bit of information about soy wax:

Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated. The hydrogenation process converts some of the fatty acids in the oil from unsaturated to saturated. This process dramatically alters the melting point of the oil, making it a solid at room temperature.

The webshop I got my soy wax from sells 100% pure eco soy wax. You get three little hearts for 1 euro, and I could choose the scents and colours myself. They will burn for 8 hours and come in a cute organza bag.

I bought 12 different ones and store them in a simple tea chest. The hearts look really cute and you can choose from lots of delicious scents. I picked Strawberry, Aloe Vera, Banana, Chocolate, Jasmin, Milk and Honey, Roses, Toffee, Vanilla, Ylang Ylang, Lavender and Christmas.

The shop owner gave me a litte heart shaped 'thank you' soap as well, which was really sweet. Those kind of gestures make me want to come back to a shop :) I'm not sure if she ships internationally, but luckily there are more places to get soy wax (you can always try Ebay or google 'Soy Wax'). However, if you're Dutch and looking for soap or soy wax, I'm sure that you will like the shop!

So far, I think it could be a great Christmas gift. The burner is something decorative and nice to look at, and the scented oil or soy wax (whatever you prefer) make the gift personal. In case you don't know what kind of scent to give: Aloe Vera is a very popular one and smells nice without being overwhelming. Although I think that Banana and Ylang Ylang will become my favourites!
