Metallic Stones palette: review and swatches
Today I have something in store for the 'budget-proof' lovers, the Metallic Stones (also known as the Ultra Glamour) palette! This palette contains 28 shimmer eyeshadows, it goes from a little bit of shimmer to the ultra shimmer and metallic looking colours. The colours are mainly purples and neutrals and they come in a palette that's just slightly smaller than an 88 palette. You can find it on Ebay for 9,78 dollars (price and shipping), which is a great bargain! You can find the seller I got it from here. The palette got here in 8 days and was VERY well packaged, way better than my 88 palette from Coastal Scents was.
The pans have a nice size and the palette feels just as sturdy as the other ones I own. I was surprised at first because in stead of the plastic I'm used to some sort of cardboard is holding the eyeshadows together, but it doesn't look like it's going to fall out or tear (it might get dirty eventually, but I don't know that for sure yet). But let's move on to the swatches! I created four little groups for the swatches to make things a bit easier. All of the swatches are dry, I didn't use a base, primer, water or something else to make the colours look more pigmented. If you want a closer view, you can click on the pictures:

This is the first group, a couple of very nice neutral shades (and highlighters?). You can really see the difference between the subtle and ultra shimmer colours here. 1, 3 and 4 are my favourites.
This is the second group, some of the colours are pretty similar (9, 10 and 13). My favourites are 11, 13 and 14.
Here are the swatches of the third group. The pigmentation of the 2 bottom rows was even better than the others, so I had a lot of fun swatching this! There's a nice silver, a gold, a black and a couple of very nice browns. I can't wait to use this for the holidays (I can't even pick my favourites, they are that pretty).
Last but not least, group number four! A couple of shimmery pastel colours. Luckily, the eyeshadows aren't as similar as the second group. 24, 25 and 27 are my favourites.
I took a picture after all the swatching to show that these eyeshadows are very soft and smooth, they don't crumle/cause a lot of fall-out which is something I love. I hate it when my eyeshadow gets everywhere, so I'm happy that these are nice to work with. I'm definitely satisfied with this palette! The pigmentation is nice, the price is awesome and the colours are very usable. If you like super bright colours or don't like to work with shimmery eyeshadows, this palette is probably not meant for you. But if you are looking for a cheap palette with some nicely pigmented eyeshadows, I would definitely recommend this one!

I like the choise of colours found in this palette. The fact that they don't crumble easily is definitely a plus!
