Gifts and Swatches

Hello everyone! I got a few very cute gifts this week (especially the ones for my little Hello Kitty collection) so I decided to share them. Well, I was actually asked to do so, because when my mum handed me everything she looked at me and said 'You are going to blog about this right?' Yes mum...I'd looove to put my new socks on the internet ;)

Luckily they are adorable, so I don't mind! Socks and hair bands are always nice to have.

Yup, the hair bands are also in Hello Kitty style :) I bet every 3 year old girl is going to be jealous of my hair right now.

When my dad heard that I skip lunches sometimes he got me this adorable lunch box. This one is really girly but big enough for me to carry some food around.

I also needed new cotton rounds and a sharperner. My NYX jumbo pencil in milk needs to be sharpened soon, so I needed a big one. This one is a duo, so even better ;)

Here we have the make-up, 2 single eyeshadows and a lipgloss.

The eyeshadows are lovely, very soft and slightly creamy. They are not completely matte (you can see a couple of sparkles in there) and unfortunately, they aren't extremely pigmented either. However, with a nice base they look great. Oh, they are named 'Pink' and 'Black', nothing too original ;)

The lipgloss in 'light pink' also has that little bit of sparkle. I didn't own a colour like that, so I couldn't wait to try it out.

Like I said, the eyeshadows are not very impressive by themselves but look great with the right base. The pink eyeshadow would be nice to use as a blush as well. The lipgloss is pretty pigmented which I didn't really expect because it's such a light shade. Below you can see another swatch on the lips:

I really love the lipgloss, the shade is very nice and you don't get too much sparkle or some extreme glossy finish. On the packaging it says you can keep it for 18 months which is certainly not bad for a lipgloss. The smell reminds me of candy but it's not too powerful. It survived a glass of water, but after a meal you'll need to reapply.

Here we have the two eyeshadows again, I applied the pink on the inner 2/3 of my eyelid and the black on the outer third. I didn't use a base or primer, so this is how they look when you apply them dry.

That's all for now, I hope that everyone had a great weekend! In my country 'So you think you can dance' just started, so I'm going to continue to watch that ;)
