Review: SuperStay™ 24HR Makeup

I've been using this for over 10 weeks now, so it's time for a little review! I'm talking about the Super Stay 24h make-up/foundation by Maybelline (I have this in the colour Nude). This is what they promise you:
-SuperStay™ 24HR Makeup stays comfortable and looks naturally flawless all day
-Micro-Flex formula provides 24-hour wear and No Transfer
-Withstands heat, sweat and humidity
-Oil-free, dermatologist tested, fragrance-free. Suitable for all skin types
Now this was my first (and only) liquid foundation and I'm quite happy with it. I'm a picky girl so I wouldn't call this the freaking best foundation ever, but it does have some pro's. Now is it true what they promise? I definitely find this a very comfortable foundation, natural looking but not jaw dropping flawless. There is zero transfer which is nice, and it stays on pretty long. It withstands sweat and all the bad stuff, and didn't make the condition of my skin any worse (and I have super sensitive skin).

This is how I like to apply it, I mix it with my moisturizer and use a foundation brush:

The next 2 pictures show how the foundation looks, the first one was taken in front on the window and the second one across the room where the lighting was less bright.

My first reaction (all those weeks ago) was actually 'Ugh, this does pretty little for me. Awful.' But I eventually started to like this foundation. It is doing something, if you pay attention to the area under my eyes. It makes my eye look less puffy and tired. In the first picture you can also see how it makes my face a bit more matte = good, because your flaws won't draw extra attention that way. I can also see that it fills up fine lines a little bit, I have them on my forehead and under my eyes but the foundation makes them less noticable.

What I like:

-It blends really well into your skin
-It feels super light
-It makes your face a bit matte
-It might not last 24 hours, it does last around 8-12 hours
-It didn't break me out
-You only need a tiny bit (I've been using it for 10 weeks and I have 2/3 left)
-It has a pump that really controls the amount of product that comes out
-It's cheap and easy to get

What I don't like:

-I don't find it very buildable, you get a medium finish at most, nothing 'flawless'
-You do have to play around with it to find the nicest way to apply it, or else it will be hard to blend or make you look cakey. For me, mixing it with moisturizer and using a foundation brush in a zigzag motion works the best. And really, less is more with this one.

Would I recommend this one? If you want full coverage and an absolute flawless look, I wouldn't buy this. However, if you want something to use daily that makes you look a little fresher, this one is great. I think it's a very nice foundation if you want something that doesn't change your face dramatically but still helps you in the right area's. Personally, I would repurchase this.

I already tried this before. And i think this item is not hot. Because as you already wrote, it doesn't give you a full cover. So thats to bad. I happy to read, that i'm not the only one who thinks about this.
